Urdu Bereavement Book Launch

7 Nov 2024: After the overwhelming response to ‘A Gift for the Bereaved Parent’ and requests to publish an Urdu translation, Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital were delighted to introduce their brand new Urdu edition with Ta-Ha Publishers this month, expertly written by their Muslim Chaplain, Zamir Hussain, whose collection of bereavement support resources for parents shone at the hospital’s book launch.

This book has been so thoughtfully translated and edited, ensuring that those parents experiencing child loss can access gentle support and healing in their mother tongue.

A huge well done to Zamir, Shabana Maqsood and Dr Abia Afsar-Siddiqui for their collective efforts in this important resource.
