Welcome to our new website!
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to create a website that is easy to find your way around and simple to use.
We wanted to make it as easy as possible to find the book you need. So you can either browse through our books by subject category or if you would prefer, you can scroll a little way down our homepage to the I would like to: area and pick your next read based on what your current needs are. So for example, you might want to work on improving your relationships or perhaps manage a life challenge. If you click on those collections, it will display all the books that may meet your needs.
We have taken care to ensure that almost all of our product listing photos are real. That means that they’ve been taken by members of our own team in and around our homes (and gardens) as we’ve interacted with our books in our daily lives. No professional photography, no fancy background setups. What you see is what you get.
All the text on the website is also written by us. There’s no AI involved in our blog writing, blurb writing or anywhere else. The photographs on our news and blogs are also taken by us whether we have been on our far flung travels or on a restorative local nature walk.
We have also made the decision not to have any analytics on our site. We appreciate that you want a safe space where your online behaviour is not being tracked and your private data is not being used. That’s why you won’t see a cookie agreement when you first visit us.
Finally, we don’t have flash sales and time sensitive discounts on our books. Our normal everyday price offers excellent value and we think you should be able to purchase your book whenever you want it, knowing it is at the best price.
We currently have a £1 or less section in which brand new and undamaged titles have been reduced to clear stock and make way for new and exciting titles. These prices will last until stocks run out.
It has been important to us to keep things real, simple and human in a world where so much is artificial, fake and designed to mislead and manipulate. We also wanted to share ourselves with you through our writings and photos, so you get a sense of who we are and what we do.
After all, you have been kind enough to make our books part of your journey for the past 45 years. This is our way of letting you know that we appreciate it.
