Biography of Imam Jalaluddin as-Suyuti

Imam Jalaluddin as-Suyuti was born in the year 849 AH/1445 CE. He was one of the foremost scholars of his age and is well respected and referred to often, even today. His works total over seven hundred in all areas of Islamic Sciences, including Qur'an, Hadith, Islamic Jurisprudence, Prophetic Biography, etc. He is well known for his academic stature, ascetic lifestyle and, in particular, the lofty standard of his love for the Prophet Muhammad (SAAS) He died in the year 911 AH/1505 CE.
