Flamur Vehapi is a researcher, writer, academic and a student of peace and conflict resolution. He was born in Kosova and later exiled by the Serbian regime in the late 1990s. He received his bachelor's degree from Southern Oregon University where he majored in Counselling Psychology with a minor in History and , in 2013, received his Master's from Portland State University in Conflict Resolution. Later, Vehapi taught both at Rogue Community College and Southern Oregon University, and recently he has been teaching in the Middle East. His work and research interests include peace and conflict studies, nationalism, diplomacy, human rights, social justice, religion, the Balkans and the Middle East. While in Southern Orgon, Vehapi received the 2009 Imagine Award for Community Peacemaking. This is Vehapi's fourth published book, three of which are poetry volumes.
Currently, he is an Education and Leadership PhD student at Pacific University.
