Biography of Abdassamad Clarke

Abdassamad Clarke was born in Belfast and has studied in Edinburgh and Cairo. He has translated the chapters on al-Khulafa' ar-Rahidun from as-Suyuti's Tarikh al-Khulafa', published as 'The History of the Khalifas' Who Took the Right Way'; the Kitab al-Jami' of Ibn Abi Zayd al-Qayrawani, published as 'The Madinan View', and is co-author with the late Professor Abdur Rahman I. Doi of the second edition of 'Shariah: Islamic Law', all published by Ta-Ha publishers Ltd.
He is also the author of two children's books, 'The Clear Victory', which retells the story of the Treaty of Hudaibiyah, and 'The Last Battle for the Truth', which is the story of the great expedition of Tabuk against the Eastern half of the Roman Empire, as well as the events leading up to it. Both books have also been published by Ta-Ha Publishers Ltd.
